Buyers remorse. These previous reviews don’t reflect reality. This is a hospice for people who are comatose or severely limited. The ad for the facility is quite misleading. The building is not in view of the ocean, but isolated on a hill with no other buildings around. The rooms are dark and the gardens are basically a small patio. No one goes outside, and there are no activities for memory care. Physical movement is limited and the food is mediocre hospital food. Meals are served at random. My husband was there two weeks and no matter how much I wrote emails or texts, I got very little response. My husband started slurring during our phone calls and I suspected he was being sedated to keep him docile. They say the staff speaks English, but the only the intake person and one staff member spoke broken English. My husband was isolated and became depressed. I was told we could have a two month trial period, but when I arrived there was a contract for a year and it was in Spanish, so I didn’t know what I was signing. The owner/manager was never seen. I had to fly back down and retrieve my husband after two weeks. I asked to have my deposit returned and was told no. The owner appeared and was condescending and denied my concerns. There was no medical transcripts offered, even though I was told there were doctors monitoring the patients daily. This is a bad place to put your family member. .

We are so blessed to find an amazing home for my parents. They are surrounded by angels. There is nothing to compare the feeling and knowing they are being cared for by such amazing people.

Just took a tour of CasaMar for my mother. I was extremely impressed with how beautiful and clean the house is. Very quiet area and nice ocean view. They offered a lot of different floor plans and the master suite was incredible. Pricing was a lot more affordable than everywhere else we’ve checked in San Diego.
